SINGAPORE: Visit the Indian section of any of Singapore's hawkers' centers and you'll find drink vendors purveying a rainbow-colored assortment of exotic drinks. Bandung may look like Pepto Bismol, but its perfumy rosewater flavor is as refreshing as it is unique. Serve with Singapore or Malaysian-style sates.
_ c water, cold
___ c sweetened condensed milk
_ tbs rosewater (See Note)
_ tbs banana liqueur
_ tbs grenadine syrup
Ice cubes, for serving
Combine the water, condensed milk, rosewater, liqueur, and grenadine syrup in a pitcher and stir to mix. Pour into tall glasses over ice and serve immediately.
Note: Rosewater is available at Middle Eastern and Indian markets and many gourmet shops.
