There are many ways to make a Bloody Mary; in fact, whole books are devoted to versions of the basic tomato and rum beverage. Our modest version, with the ever-present celery stalk, packs quite a punch. You can add more hot sauce for your own special tang, if you like.
1/2 cup reduced-sodium vegetable juice, chilled
1/4 cup club soda, chilled
Dash hot sauce
Minced cilantro, to taste
1/2 stalk celery
In a small glass, combine the juice and soda. Stir in the hot sauce, then sprinkle with the cilantro. Place the celery in the glass and serve.
