Serves: 8

Print this Recipe

Serving size: 1/4 cup

These homemade seasoned bread crumbs are much lower in sodium than the store-bought variety, and are very easy to make!

   1/3 loaf low-calorie store-bought bread
   2 teaspoons garlic powder
   1 teaspoon dried basil
   1 teaspoon dried oregano
   1 teaspoon onion powder
   1/4 teaspoon paprika
   1/4 teaspoon salt
   1/4 teaspoon pepper

Leave the bread out on the kitchen counter to dry for 2 days. Remove the crusts and tear the bread into bite-sized pieces. Place the bread in the food processor or blender along with the spices and blend to make crumbs.
