Make Your Own Noodles!

By Sydney Hill

With the most basic ingredients in this world, you can make your own pasta: from scratch. Isn't that a huge selling-point these days? Cookies: from scratch! Cake: from scratch! Well, here it is. Pasta: from scratch!

The only downside is the time it takes to cut. It is easier to pull out a bag or box of pasta from the store. But, if you're feeling gourmet tonight, or if you have a pasta maker, maybe give it a try.

Homemade Pasta

Serving size: 10
Calories per serving: 69

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
2 to 3 tablespoons water

Directions:
Place flour and salt on the counter, mix and make a well in the center. Break eggs in well and add water. Mix and knead by hand 3 to 5 minutes. If it is too dry, add small amounts of water. If it too moist, add more four. Divide dough in half and roll out in pasta machine or with a rolling pin. Shape. Boil a pot of water. Cook pasta 1 to 3 minutes in boiling water with 1/4 tsp. of salt.
