Daikon "Scallops" with Green Onion Sauce


Serves: 4

Ingredients

2 daikon
2 cloves garlic diced
2 tablespoons raw honey
2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
1/8 teaspoon sea salt
1 cup Green Onion Sauce

Directions:

1. Peel the daikon and slice them into rounds that are 1/4 inch thick. Set aside.

2. In a medium bowl, combine the garlic, honey, lemon juice, and salt. Add the daikon rounds, mix, and let marinate for 2 to 3 days in the refrigerator.

3. To serve, place 3 or 4 daikon “scallops” on a plate and top with Green Onion Sauce.

For a Change . . .
* Use Mustard Sauce instead of Green Onion Sauce.
* Top with diced scallions and 1 tablespoon minced shallot.
