Marshmallows

Total Calories: 80

Ingredients

2 packets non-flavored Kosher gelatin
6 tablespoons water
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup agave
1/2 cup all natural, real maple syrup

Directions:

Heat the first two ingredients in the microwave for 30 seconds. Pour the water and gelatin mix into a big bowl along with the rest of the ingredients, and mix for 12 minutes or until tripled in size. When the marshmallows are thick and white pour them into a greased and floured (I use oat flour) 9X13 pan. Cool in the fridge for at least 3 hours. Cut with a wet knife when ready to serve. I should mention here that these are not your chemically engineered marshmallows from the grocery store. They will not puff up in the microwave the way the store bought ones do. To make s’mores, just spread hot, melted grain sweetened chocolate on homemade graham crackers and place a marshmallow on top. The marshmallow will get soft and melty just from coming in contact with the melted chocolate.
