Ingredients

1/2 cup almond butter
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
1 egg
1/2 cup agave
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup almond meal
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 cup whole wheat flour
1/4 to 1/2 cup grain sweetened milk chocolate chips (optional)

Directions:

In a bowl, combine almond butter, and cocoa together and mix well. Beat in egg. Add agave and vanilla. Stir until well mixed and smooth. Add the almond meal, baking powder and whole wheat flour, chocolate chips if desired. Pour into a nonstick 8X8 pan. Bake at 350° for 18-22 minutes or until done. Brownies are done when they are still soft in the center and a bit jiggly. If these get overcooked they end up being too dry. (I usually cook mine for 20 minutes on the dot)
