1/2 cup sweet chocolate
1 cup hot water
5 1/2 cups milk
1/2 cup cream
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
7 sticks cinnamon
Combine chocolate and water in top of a double boiler. Melt over hot water; stir. Combine milk, cream, cinnamon, and nutmeg in 3-quart saucepan. Beat until well combined. Heat milk mixture over medium-heat until it bubbles around edge of pan; stir constantly. Remove from heat and stir in melted chocolate and vanilla. Beat with rotary beater until foamy. To serve, place cinnamon sticks in each cup.
