Home-Fried Fish


Serves: 5

Ingredients

1 pound white fillets (scrod, haddock, sole, cod)
1 egg, beaten
2 tablespoons milk
cornflakes crumbs

Directions:

Cut fish into serving sizes. Dip in egg wash of egg and milk. Coat with crushed cornflakes on both sides. Fry in a thin layer of hot corn oil in a skillet until brown on both sides. Or put in a metal fish platter which has just a little oil on bottom and bake at 350° until coating is brown and fish is flaky.

Note: May use egg substitute for egg wash.
