Spiced Cranberry Sauce

Yield: 1 quart

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups sugar
3/4 cup water
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon grated lemon peel
1/2 teaspoon ginger
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
3 cloves
1 stick cinnamon
1 pound cranberries

Directions:

In saucepan, combine sugar, water, lemon juice, rind, and spices. Boil for 5 minutes. Remove cinnamon and cloves. add cranberries. Boil 5 minutes or until skins pop open. Cool. Refrigerate until served.
