Strawberry Ice Cream

3 eggs beaten
1 1/4 cups sugar
2 cups milk
1 cup half and half
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups cream
1 1/2 pints strawberries washed, hulled, and mashed
Sugar to taste


Combine eggs and 1 1/4 cups sugar beat well. Add milk, half-and-half, salt, vanilla, and heavy cream. Combine mashed strawberries with sugar to taste and blend into cream mixture. Pour into ice cream freezer. Freeze according to manufacturer's instructions.
