Dutch Slaw

1 head cabbage shredded (about 3 lb.)
2 green bell peppers chopped
1 onion chopped
1 cup sugar
1 cup vegetable oil
1 cup cider vinegar
1 1/2 teaspoons celery seeds
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon salt


Place cabbage, green peppers, and onion in a large bowl. Stir in sugar and let stand.

Combine oil, vinegar, celery seeds, mustard, and salt in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil. Pour hot dressing over cabbage mixture, cover, and chill at least 6 hours.
