Cranberry Sherbet

Serves: 6
Total Calories: 251


2 cups cranberries
1 1/2 cups water
1 cup sugar
1/2 tablespoon gelatin unflavored
1/4 cup water cold
1/4 cup lemon juice


Cook washed cranberries (fresh or frozen) in 1 1/2 cups water until skins pop. Press through sieve add sugar stir until sugar dissolves. Soften gelatin in cold water add to cranberries. Cool add lemon juice. Freeze firm in shallow tray. Break into chunks beat smooth with electric beater. Return quickly to freezer freeze firm.
