Hot Mulled Cider

Ingredients

1 quart hot tea
1 gallon cider
juice of 5 lemon
juice of 5 orange
1 1/4 cups brown sugar
3 sticks cinnamon
1 teaspoon allspice
1 teaspoon whole cloves
1/2 teaspoon salt (optional)
pinch of mace

Directions:

Simmer all, uncovered, for 15 minutes in a large 10–12-quart pan, stirring from time to time. Serve hot with thin slices of oranges in each cup. This cannot be frozen, but it can be refrigerated and reheated.
