Taco Soup

Ingredients

1 pound ground beef
1 chopped onion
2 (15 1/4-ounce) cans kidney beans
tortilla chips
shredded Cheddar cheese
1/2 package taco seasoning mix
1 quart tomato
4 cups water
1 (8-ounce) can tomato sauce
sour cream

Directions:

In large pot, break ground beef in pieces and cook on medium high until brown. Drain excess fat. Add onion and cook for 3 minutes. Mash tomatoes into small chunks and add to ground beef. Stir in water, tomato sauce, taco seasoning, and beans. Bring to a boil. Lower heat to medium low and simmer for 30 minutes. Ladle into bowl. Break tortilla chips on top and sprinkle with cheese. Add a spoonful of sour cream and stir.
