Chili Con Carne

4 cups canned red kidney beans (light or dark, preferably dark)
2 pounds ground beef
2 cups sliced onions
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup oil
2 1/2 cups canned tomatoes
4 tablespoons chili powder
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
3/4 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cumin


Sauté onion and garlic in oil for 10 minutes. Add beef and brown. Add other ingredients, cover and simmer for 30 minutes or until done.
