Bayfield Eggs

1 1/2 pounds sausages
12 eggs
3/4 pound shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
1/2 - 1 cup chopped green onions
1/2 green bell pepper, chopped
1 (4-ounce) can sliced mushrooms, drained
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 pint whole cream


Fry sausage and drain well. Grease 9x13-inch pan. Break eggs into pan. Poke the yolks. Top with all the sausage, 1/2 the cheese, and all the onions, green pepper, and mushrooms. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Cover all with cream and remaining cheese. Refrigerate overnight. Bake at 350° for 1 hour.
