Hood River Turkey

Ingredients

4 apples
4 onions
1 fresh (10-pound) turkey
1 cup water
1 cup soy sauce
1 cup white wine

Directions:

Cut up apples and onions. Stuff turkey with apples and onions. Secure legs and wings. Put turkey in large pan. Mix water, soy sauce, and wine. Cook on low setting of gas grill with lid closed. Baste the turkey with the soy mixture every 20–30 minutes. If the turkey becomes too brown, cover it with aluminum foil. The entire cooking time will be 1 1/2–2 hours depending upon the exact size of the turkey.
