Grandpa’s Scalloped Clams and Potatoes

Ingredients

6 cups thinly sliced potatoes
1/3 cup flour
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 1/2 teaspoons salt or to taste
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon granulated onion or powdered onion
1 1/2 cups chopped razor or other clams
1 cup water
1 cup evaporated milk
1 tablespoon butter or margarine

Directions:

Dust potatoes with flour. Mix remaining ingredients (including all the flour) together, except milk and butter. Place in greased 2 1/2-quart casserole dish with cover. Pour milk on top and dot with butter. Cook in 350° oven 1 1/4 hours, covered, and 15 minutes, uncovered, or until potatoes are almost done.

Note: May use clam nectar in place of milk and/or water.
