This recipe came from the Navajo Indians.
6 cups flour
1 cup dry milk powder
1 tablespoon salt
2 1/2 tablespoons baking powder
2 1/2 cups warm water
Mix dry ingredients completely. Push to one side in a big bowl, then slowly add warm water where there's less flour. Mix in a circular motion with fingers then knead in an upward motion, stretching it upward with one hand. This should make a soft dough. When done, cover with a tight lid or plastic bag. Let dough sit an hour. Roll into flat circles to make tortillas, or stretch with fingers to make fry bread.
