Fun Fact: Michigan produces lots of soybeans—an ideal food helpful in lowering cholesterol and in the prevention of many cancers. Soybean oil is used in more than 80% of all cooking oils and salad dressings, and in 90% of all margarines produced. Ford, in 1940, was the first to use soybean plastics in automobiles.
