Ingredients

1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg, beaten
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 (6-ounce) package chocolate chips
1 1/2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup cocoa
1 teaspoon soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup water
1/3 cup salad oil
1 tablespoon vinegar
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:

Combine cream cheese, sugar, egg, and salt. Stir in chocolate chips and set aside. This is topping for batter. Sift flour, sugar, cocoa, soda, and salt. Add water, salad oil, vinegar, and vanilla. Fill muffin pans 1/3full of cocoa batter. Top with 1 tablespoon of cream cheese mixture. Bake at 350° for 20-25 minutes.
