Old-Fashioned Oatmeal Apple Cookies

Ingredients

3/4 cup butter Crisco shortening
1 1/4 cups packed brown sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup milk
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 1/4 teaspoons cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup peeled and diced apple
3/4 cup raisins
3 cups quick cooking oats

Directions:

Cream Crisco, brown sugar, egg, milk, and vanilla. Combine all dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture. Mix well; add nuts, apples, and raisins. Stir in oats. drop by tablespoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375° for 13 minutes.
