Apple Brownies

Ingredients

2/3 cup margarine, softened
1 3/4 cups brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup chopped, peeled apple
1/3 cup chopped walnuts
1/3 cup chopped raisins
powdered sugar

Directions:

Cream margarine and brown sugar. Add eggs and beat until well mixed. Add vanilla and mix again. Add sifted dry ingredients and beat until mixture is smooth. Add apples, walnuts, and raisins and stir gently with a strong spoon. Spread batter in a greased 9x13-inch pan and bake at 350° for 30–35 minutes. Remove brownies from pan and roll each one in sifted powdered sugar.
