Place apples in a large bowl; toss with lemon juice and spice. Pierce unbaked crusts lightly with a fork; fill with apples. Mix melted butter, sugar and eggs; pour mixture evenly over apples. Dust the top of each pie with a dash of nutmeg. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes to an hour. Allow to cool (if you can wait!) before slicing. Makes 2 pies, 8 servings each.
