Cheryl’s Country-Style Ribs

Serves: 13
Total Calories: 445


7 to 8 pounds country-style pork ribs, sliced into serving-size portions
salt to taste
2 onions, sliced
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
Place ribs in an ungreased large roaster pan; sprinkle lightly with salt. Top ribs with onion slices, brown sugar and 3/4 of barbecue sauce. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 2 hours. Uncover and add remaining sauce. Increase oven to 400 degrees; bake for an additional 30 minutes.
Barbecue Sauce:
2 cups ketchup
1 cup water
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup vinegar
1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons smoke-flavored cooking sauces
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt


Combine all ingredients and mix well. Keep refrigerated.
