Almonds

Ingredients

Directions:

It is believed that the Greeks first cultivated the almond because the Romans called it the "Greek nut." It grows on a tree that resembles the peach tree, and this tree grows best in Mediterranean climates like South America, California, Australia, and of course the Mediterranean. Due to its mild flavor, the almond is used in every type of food from goodies to meat entrees. Its oil is used in drugs and cosmetics and by massage therapists. The almond provides us with a good source of magnesium, potassium, phosphorus, riboflavin, copper, niacin, and zinc.
