Shrimp Étouffée

Ingredients

1 onion, chopped
1 stalk celery, chopped
1/2 cup margarine
1 green pepper, chopped
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 (10 3/4-ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
1 (8-ounce) can tomato sauce
1 pound uncooked medium shrimp, peeled and cleaned
cooked rice

Directions:

In a large saucepan over medium heat, sauté onion and celery in margarine for about 10 minutes. Add green pepper and seasonings; cook 10 minutes more. Stir in soup, sauce and shrimp. Cook for 30 minutes over medium-low heat. Serve over rice.
