Banana and Chocolate Chip Waffles |

Mmmmm! Bananas and chocolate together make a winning breakfast combination. Freeze any over-ripe bananas you might have sitting on your counter and you will always have them on hand when the urge hits to make these luscious pancakes.

2 eggs
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup mashed ripe bananas, (1 medium)
1 1/2 cups milk
1/3 cup vegetable oil or 1/3 cup margarine or butter, melted
1 tablespoon sugar
4 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips
2 medium bananas, sliced
2 tablespoons miniature semisweet chocolate chips
Strawberry-flavored syrup

1. Spray nonstick waffle iron with nonstick cooking spray; heat waffle iron.
2. Beat eggs in medium bowl with electric mixer on medium speed 1 minute. Beat in flour, mashed banana, milk, oil, sugar, baking powder and salt just until smooth. Stir in 1/2 cup chocolate chips.
3. Pour about 1/2 cup batter from cup or pitcher onto center of hot waffle iron. (Waffle irons vary in size; check manufacturer's directions for recommended amount of batter.) Close lid of waffle iron.
4. Bake about 5 minutes or until steaming stops. Carefully remove waffle.
5. Serve waffles with sliced bananas and 2 tablespoons chocolate chips. Drizzle with syrup.
