Country Apple Sausage

Ingredients

4 large sweet Italian pork sausages
3 Cortland apples, cored and cut into wedges
1/3 cup Vermont made syrup

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 400°. In a heavy skillet, with no fat added, sauté the sausages over medium to high heat until brown. Transfer the sausages to a small baking dish, cover them with the apple wedges, and drizzle with the maple syrup. Cover and bake for 10 minutes. Decrease the temperature to 350° and continue baking until done, about 15–20 minutes. (The apples should not fall apart.)
