Sweet and Sour Meatballs

Ingredients

3 pounds hamburger or ground beef
1 1/2 cups quick oatmeal
2 (10-ounce) cans water chestnuts, chopped
1 teaspoon onion salt
1 teaspoon garlic salt
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup milk
2 (15-ounce) cans crushed pineapple
2 cups light brown sugar
1 cup white vinegar
4 tablespoons soy sauce
2 cubes beef bouillon
6 tablespoons cornstarch
2/3 cup chopped green pepper

Directions:

Mix together hamburger, oatmeal, chopped chestnuts, onion and garlic salts, soy sauce, eggs, and milk. Form into meatballs. Fry or broil, turning occasionally until done. Drain pineapple into saucepan. Add brown sugar, vinegar, soy sauce, and bouillon. Bring to low boil. Thicken with cornstarch. Stir in green peppers and pineapple. Heat through but leave peppers crisp-tender.
