Tomato Pudding

1 (10-ounce) can tomato purée
1/4 cup boiling water
6 tablespoons light brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup white bread (cut into 1-inch cubes)
1/4 cup melted butter


Add the sugar and salt to the tomato puree and water, and boil for 5 minutes. Place bread cubes in casserole dish. Pour the melted butter over the bread and add the tomato mixture. Bake covered for 30 minutes at 375°F. Serve with the Quail Hash or other meats.
