Friendship Cake

Ingredients

1 (18 1/4-ounce) box white or yellow cake mix, non-pudding variety
1/2 - 2/3 cup vegetable oil
1 (3.4-ounce) package vanilla or pineapple instant pudding
3 or 4 small eggs
about 2 cups drained fruit from Starter mixture
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
1 (3 1/2-ounce) can shredded coconut (optional)

Directions:

Combine all ingredients and bake in a large greased and floured tube or Bundt cake pan for 50–60 minutes at 350°, or until cake tests done. Cake freezes well for up to 1 month and is delicious served with a dollop of whipped cream.

Many people make up to 3 cakes, reserving one for themselves and sending the others along as part of their gift of Friendship Starter and the recipe.
