Fried Polenta


Serves: 4

Ingredients

cold leftover basic polenta
oil for deep frying
flour
salt and pepper

Directions:

Cut polenta into slices about 1/2 inch thick. Cut the slices into triangles or rounds. Heat the oil until a dry piece of bread sizzles as soon as it is dropped in. Season the flour with some salt and pepper. Lightly coat slices of polenta with flour. Fry until golden and crisp. Drain on paper towels. Serve at once.
