Plum Cake

2 cups sugar
3 eggs, beaten
1 cup Wesson oil
1 teaspoon ground cloves
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 cups self-rising flour
2 small jars baby food plums
1 cup chopped nuts


Mix in order given (not beating). Bake about one hour at 350° in greased, floured Bundt pan (45–50 minutes) or 2 loaf pans (35–40 minutes). Delicious!

Editor's Extra: Be sure to save a few slices to toast for breakfast. Spread on a pat of butter and bring on the coffee.
