Cream Cheese Brunch Bars

Ingredients

2 tubes crescent rolls
2 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
1 1/2 cups sugar, divided
1 egg, separated
1 teaspoon cinnamon

Directions:

Spread one tube of crescent rolls in 9x13x2-inch pan, patting edges together to form crust. Meanwhile, whip softened cream cheese, one cup sugar, and egg yolk together. Spread on layer of rolls. Top with other tube of rolls. Glaze with beaten egg white. Mix together 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle over egg white. Bake at 350° for 20 minutes.

Editor's Extra: I make half of this in an 8x8-inch pan, and my husband and I eat the whole thing! I bought a can of French bread by mistake (it was right next to the crescent rolls), and though it made a more firm coffee cake, it was a delicious mistake.
