Beef Teriyaki

Ingredients

1 1/2 pounds lean beef flank steaks cut into thin strips
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup sherry
1/2 lemon, thinly sliced
1 clove garlic, crushed
3 tablespoons sugar
1/2 apple, grated
1 tablespoon polyunsaturated oil

Directions:

Carefully trim all visible fat from the flank steak strips. Combine soy sauce, sherry, lemon, garlic and sugar with the grated apple. Pour over the meat, refrigerate and marinate for 3 hours or longer. Stir fry in the oil a skillet or wok over moderate heat for 5-7 minutes.
