Ingredients

8 ounces American cheese sharp, shredded (2 cups)
1 (3-ounce) package cream cheese softened
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
1 tablespoon green bell pepper chopped
1 tablespoon red bell pepper chopped or pimiento
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flake finely crushed
Assorted crackers

Directions:

In a small mixer bowl at medium speed, beat cheeses and butter or margarine until uniform.

Add green pepper, red pepper or pimiento and pepper flakes beat well. On a sheet of waxed paper, form into a 7-inch log. Wrap and chill at least 3 hours.

Remove from refrigerator about 30 minutes before serving. Remove wrap. Slice and serve with crackers.
