DID YOU KNOW?
Old-fashioned and quick-cooking oats are interchangeable in most recipes. However, instant oats can't replace either in recipes because instant oats are precooked and dried before being rolled into flakes. The precooking softens the oats, so when they are combined with liquid in baked goods, they can become gooey lumps.
