Combine succotash and water in a saucepan; set aside. In a small skillet, melt butter and sauté onion over medium heat until transparent. Add onion to succotash along with remaining ingredients. Simmer over medium-low heat for 30 minutes, until tender.
Tip: Try using canned chicken broth in place of water when cooking pasta or vegetables…you'll be surprised how much flavor it adds!
