Gelato Affogato

Serves: 4

The meal isn’t over in Italy until something sweet, or dolce, hits the tongue. Affogato means "drowned" in Italian.

Ingredients:

1 pint premium vanilla ice cream or gelato
4 shots hot espresso, unsweetened

Directions:

For each serving, place 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream into a glass. Pour the hot espresso over the ice cream and serve immediately before the ice cream melts.
