Silicone Temperature

Can I use my silicone baking tin for popovers? This requires a 450 degree F oven. Thank you.

John

Hi John,

Silicone bakeware can withstand limits up to 500-degrees, though some manufacturers claim silicone melts at 900-degrees F. At 450-degrees, you should be fine. However, the best way to determine usefulness of your silicone bakeware is to see if the manufacturer stamped the maximum temperature right on the product. Following those guidelines will ensure your food and your pan come out of the oven the way you want them to.
