Desserts to Die for:
Butterscotch Brownies

By Sydney Hill

If you like cookies, you'll love this. If you like brownies, you'll love this. If you like ice cream, then serve it with ice cream and you'll love it. This dessert serves all ages, it's basic and easy. I don't see anyone ever complaining or whining about it. It's just a cookie/brownie, but it is one very good cookie/brownie!

What's better is that this recipe is faster than cookies! No need to spend rolling them out. You have dessert in a jiffy because it's just so simple.

Butterscotch Brownies

Ingredients:
2/3 cup melted butter
2 cups brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup chocolate chips

Directions:
Cream butter and sugar. Add egg and vanilla, stir until blended. Add dry ingredients except chocolate chips, and mix. Add chocolate chips and mix in. Grease and flour 9 X 13 pan. Press dough into pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes. DO NOT OVERBAKE!
