Bread Pot Size?

Jeanne,

For the Artisan Bread recipe what size pot do you use to bake the bread in? What is the smallest size you can use?

Thanks,

Marilyn Kuehn

Marilyn,

The inside of the pot should be about 10 inches in diameter and 4 inches high. I have made it in a smaller pot but it was a little more difficult to get out. You can also make two smaller loaves or large buns. I have a friend that makes 4 buns out of this recipe. Her husband loves the crust! It also allows her to experiment with different herbs, cheeses, nuts and seeds. The cooking time is the same, but you should probably leave the lid on the pot for the whole hour. It might look done, but it isn't.

I hope you enjoy this bread as much as we do.

My Best,

Jeanne
