Bring water to a boil in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Halve one lemon; squeeze juice into pan. Stir in ginger; simmer for 15 minutes. Strain tea into a large pitcher; stir in sugar until dissolved. Refrigerate until well chilled. Pour tea into glasses over ice. Garnish with lemon slices.
Tip: Serve up icy drinks in frosty Mason jars…spritz with water, then place in the freezer to frost.
