Baked Pears

Ingredients

10 to 12 pears
1 cup fruit juice
1 tablespoon cornstarch or arrowroot powder
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon powdered stevia extract

Directions:

• Preheat the oven to 350°F.
• Peel, core, and quarter the pears. Place 8 to 10 of the quartered pears in a large baking dish (approximately 9 x 13 inches).
• Place the remaining pears in a blender with the rest of the ingredients. Blend until smooth. Pour the mixture over the pears in the baking dish.
• Bake covered about 1 hour until the pears are tender. Pears vary greatly in hardness, and some types may take a long time to soften.
