Many things may be added to make mayonnaise tastier such as chopped onion, chives, olives, gherkins, capers, chili sauce, horseradish, etc.....or for fruit dressings you can add whipped cream, honey, and maraschino cherry juice for pink tint color.
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1 large egg or 2 egg yolks
1 tablespoon vinegar
1 cup salad oil
1 tablespoon vinegar
Mix together mustard, salt, paprika, egg and vinegar. Add a drop at a time and beat well until mixture thickens; then add a balance of oil. Add vinegar.
