Makes 2 cups of dressing.
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 tablespoon sugar
2 teaspoons dry mustard
2 teaspoons salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon paprika
Few grains cayenne pepper
1/2 cup milk, divided
2 egg yolk, slightly beaten
1/4 cup vinegar
3/4 cup salad oil
Mix cornstarch, sugar, dry mustard, salt, pepper, paprika, cayenne and 1/4 cup milk to a smooth paste. Add balance of milk; cook over low heat, stirring constantly until thick. Add egg yolks, vinegar, and salad oil; beat thoroughly. Chill.
