Combine crumbs and butter. Press onto bottom of 9-inch springform pan.
Beat cream cheese and sugar until light and fluffy. Add vanilla; then beat in eggs, one at a time. Pour into crust. Bake at 300° for 1 hour 40 minutes. Turn off heat; let cake cool in oven, with door ajar, for one hour. Remove from oven.
In small saucepan over low heat, melt caramels with milk. Stir until smooth. Pour over cake. Sprinkle with chopped pecans. Chill.
