Spiced Blueberry Sauce


Serves: 8

Ingredients

4 cups frozen or fresh blueberries
2 teaspoons ground ginger
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon water
1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice

Directions:

In a medium, heavy saucepan, combine the blueberries, ginger, cinnamon, sugar, water, and lemon juice. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Let it boil slowly until thickened, about 5 minutes. Remove from the heat and serve warm.
